Hold ⌘ and ⇧, then tap 5.

⌘⇧5 opens the screenshot toolbar — ⌘⇧3 grabs the whole screen instantly.

Steps in text

  1. Hold ⌘ and ⇧, then tap 5.
  2. The screenshot toolbar appears at the bottom of the screen.
  3. The capture toolbar appears at the bottom.
  4. Click Capture (or just click/drag on screen).
  5. Done — the screenshot is saved to your Desktop.
