Open Safari's Settings with ⌘ and , (comma).

Safari has no simple 'clear cache' button — the option lives in a hidden menu you switch on first.

Steps in text

  1. Open Safari's Settings with ⌘ and , (comma).
  2. Click the Advanced tab, then tick 'Show features for web developers'.
  3. Close Settings. A Develop menu now appears in the menu bar — click it.
  4. Click Empty Caches.
  5. Done — the cache is cleared and your history is untouched.
