Hold ⊞ Win, tap I — Settings opens.
Or click Start and type 'microphone'. The Win key is bottom-left, between Ctrl and Alt.

- Hold ⊞ Win, tap I — Settings opens.
- Click Privacy & security in the sidebar.
- Under App permissions, click Microphone.
- Microphone access is on. Click the master toggle at the top to turn it off.
- The master toggle slides off and the app list below is grayed out.
