Click cell B2.
Excel freezes everything above and left of the cell you pick. B2 has row 1 above it and column A to its left — so both freeze.
Steps in text
- Click cell B2.
- Click the View tab.
- Click Freeze Panes.
- Choose Freeze Panes.
- Scroll anywhere — row 1 and column A both stay put.
- Done — your headers and your first column stay visible wherever you scroll.
